"Helping Shop Owners Without Customers"... Gwangjin-gu Provides Up to 1.3 Million Won

Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is promoting the "Our Neighborhood Small Business Owner Management Doctor Project" to help small business owners struggling with business operations.

The Small Business Owner Management Doctor Project is a program that started in 2022 to stabilize the management and strengthen the self-sustainability of small business owners. It has signed a business agreement with the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation to provide customized consulting and facility improvement support. Last year, it supported 75 locations with over 122 million KRW, helping the local commercial district.

The project targets store-type small business owners who have operated in Gwangjin-gu for more than one year, providing 1:1 customized consulting and facility improvement cost support. The support period is from April to December, selecting a total of 70 locations, 35 each in the first and second half of the year.

Consulting is conducted twice in total. Experts provide direct advice in various fields such as ▲marketing and customer management ▲profit and loss management and store operation ▲menu development ▲hygiene environment improvement ▲tax and labor issues.

After the consultation, facility improvements follow. Business owners can receive up to approximately 1.3 million KRW for facility improvement costs necessary for business activities, such as signs, display cabinets, lighting fixtures, and interior work.

Especially this year, the store owner's burden for facility improvement costs has been eased from 20% last year to 10%, reducing the burden on store owners. Additional points will be given to good-price businesses that contribute to price stability in the region, expanding support.

The application period for the first half is from March 4 to 18, and the selection results will be individually notified in April. To apply, submit the application form, a copy of the business registration certificate, and other required documents through the Seoul Metropolitan Self-Employment Support Center website. For more details, contact the Regional Economy Division of Gwangjin-gu Office.

Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, "This project was prepared to provide some help to small business owners struggling with the economic recession. It is a rare opportunity to hear expert opinions in various fields, so we encourage many to participate." He added, "We will continue to promote support projects that small business owners can truly feel and take the lead in revitalizing the local economy."
