In particular, this agreement is significant as E-Mart Pocheon Branch is the first local business in the area to participate as a preferential support provider for multi-child families. Accordingly, about 5,000 households in Pocheon with two or more children under the age of 18 will be able to benefit from special discount events for multi-child families offered by E-Mart Pocheon Branch.

E-Mart Pocheon Branch will provide special discount events for multi-child families going forward. Pocheon City will continue to promote this and plans to continuously discover available benefits (incentives) to offer to participating businesses.

Pocheon City expects this agreement to be an important step beyond simple discount benefits, fostering cooperation between companies and local governments to enhance the effectiveness of population policies and promote mutual growth with the local community.

Ryu Byung-hee, Manager of E-Mart Pocheon Branch, said, “We joined this agreement to fulfill our corporate social responsibility,” adding, “We will continue to provide practical benefits for multi-child families and engage in various social contribution activities for regional development and mutual growth.”

Baek Young-hyun, Mayor of Pocheon City, expressed gratitude to E-Mart Pocheon Branch for participating in supporting multi-child families while fulfilling corporate social responsibility. He said, “We hope this agreement becomes a model social contribution initiative where the local community and businesses grow together.”

Mayor Baek also stated, “Multi-child families are valuable members of our society and the future leaders, but they face significant economic burdens, so practical support is necessary,” adding, “Starting with this agreement, we will expand support policies that multi-child families can truly feel by cooperating with various businesses.”

Meanwhile, Pocheon City plans to establish a sustainable support system that allows various small business owners (companies) such as restaurants, campgrounds, academies, clinics, pharmacies, and cultural tourism facilities to participate, using this agreement as a starting point.
