Three Companies and Two Individuals Recognized for Diligent Local Tax Payment
Fostering a Sound Taxpaying Culture

On the 28th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam awarded plaques of appreciation to diligent taxpayers who contributed to the stable expansion of autonomous financial resources, which serve as the foundation of local autonomy, in celebration of the '59th Taxpayer's Day' (March 3rd).

This award ceremony was organized to create a sound taxpaying culture where taxpayers who faithfully pay local taxes can feel a sense of fulfillment and pride and be socially respected.


The diligent taxpayers selected by the city this year are those who, according to the 'Ordinance on Support for Diligent Taxpayers in Changwon City,' have paid local taxes of at least 300 million KRW for corporations and 50 million KRW for individuals in the past year, and have no history of tax delinquency. This includes three companies?Shinhan Card, Romansys, and SNT Dynamics?as well as two individuals: Director Kim Haegon of Kim Eye Clinic and Director Kang Myungsang of 365 Hospital.


In addition to presenting plaques of appreciation to diligent taxpayers, the city provides benefits such as △ a two-year exemption from local tax audits △ relaxation of tax payment guarantees when local tax collection is deferred or payment deadlines extended △ selection as invitees to various events or inspections hosted by the city.


Mayor Hong Nampyo stated, “We thank those who have faithfully paid local taxes despite the difficult economic situation. These funds will be used as valuable resources for citizens, including preparations for Changwon’s next 50 years, customized support for socially vulnerable groups, and the provision of youth employment.”
