Dong-A University Graduate School Discusses Exchange and Cooperation with Southwest University of Political Science and Law Graduate School in China

Over 60 Graduate Students and Faculty from the Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence Law at Southwest University of Political Science and Law Visit Dong-A University
Strengthening Academic Exchange and Cooperation Between the Two Universities

Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) announced that more than 60 people, including graduate students from the Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence Law at Southwest University of Political Science and Law in China, recently visited Dong-A University to discuss ways to promote exchange and cooperation.


The exchange and cooperation meeting held recently at Dong-A University's Bumin Campus was attended by Song Gang-jik, Dean of Graduate School at Dong-A University; Kim Yong-ui, Specially Appointed Professor at the Law School (Director of the Law Research Institute); Jo Jae-hyun, Professor at the Law School; Jo Dong-je, Professor of Law at the Graduate School; officials from the Graduate School and International Exchange Department; Huang Yafei (黃??菲), Chief of the General Office at Southwest University of Political Science and Law; Wang Wenzheng (王雯? ), Chief of the Department Office; Dan Ruihe (單瑞和) and Yu Xiaoli (于小利), graduate student advisors; and graduate students.


At the meeting, Song Gang-jik, Dean of the Graduate School at Dong-A University, said, “When I visited Southwest University of Political Science and Law last October, I was deeply impressed by the warm hospitality and excellent learning environment. I am very pleased to meet you here at Dong-A University. I hope this visit will provide graduate students from Southwest University of Political Science and Law with an opportunity to directly experience Dong-A University’s research environment and educational programs and to engage in meaningful exchanges. This will be an important occasion to further strengthen cooperation between the two universities and jointly explore future academic development.”


Professor Kim Yong-ui, who is conducting a research project funded by the National Research Foundation of Korea titled “Changes in Legal Systems and Social Responses According to the Co-evolution of ‘Human-Technology-Institution’ in a Hyperconnected Society,” also gave a special lecture on “Artificial Intelligence Law” on this day.


Dong-A University and Southwest University of Political Science and Law in China have maintained academic exchange and cooperation for more than 17 years since signing an academic exchange agreement in 2007.


Through programs such as exchange student programs, agreements on graduate student exchanges, and cooperation among professors and researchers, the two universities have formed closer ties. More than ten faculty members from Southwest University of Political Science and Law have also earned doctoral degrees at Dong-A University.
