Muan County, Jeonnam (Governor Kim San) has been selected for the "2025 Youth Challenge Support Project" organized by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, securing 270 million KRW in national and provincial funding.

According to the county on the 28th, the Youth Challenge Support Project is a program that provides tailored support to help young people who have given up on job searching, are preparing for independence, are entering or leaving youth welfare facilities, or are facing employment difficulties due to regional characteristics, to regain their confidence and increase their motivation for employment.

The county plans to offer three types of programs (short-term, mid-term, and long-term) to a total of 60 young participants, and will provide participation allowances, job search activity support, and incentives for employment and entrepreneurship for each program to encourage active participation.

The project will proceed next month with announcements and participant recruitment for the programs through the Jeollanamdo Small and Medium Business Job Economy Promotion Agency, the designated implementing agency.

Governor Kim San stated, "The Youth Challenge Support Project will be a strong first step for reclusive young people in the region to take on new challenges," and added, "I hope this project provides young people with the opportunity to regain their dreams and hopes and secure funding for independence."

Meanwhile, the county plans to implement various youth policies to invigorate the local economy by creating conditions for youth independence and to ensure stable employment opportunities.
