JobPlanet Selects 11 Best Companies to Work For
Including Google Korea, Kia, and Naver Cloud
As the tendency to pursue 'work-life balance (WLB)' becomes more pronounced among the younger generation, the career platform 'JobPlanet' has attracted attention by holding the '2025 JobPlanet Awards' and selecting 11 companies as the best places to work.
JobPlanet has announced the best companies to work for every year, and starting this year, it introduced the 'JobPlanet Awards' to select companies that job seekers can trust even more.
According to Brain Commerce, which operates 'JobPlanet', only 11 companies, representing the top 0.001% nationwide out of 430,000 companies, were selected in this year's awards. The selected companies are ▲Google Korea ▲Kia ▲Naver Cloud ▲Nexon Games ▲Viva Republica (Toss) ▲COSRX ▲COAD ▲Microsoft Korea ▲Korea Housing Finance Corporation ▲Korea Railroad Research Institute ▲ASML Korea and others.
The selection of companies was made by comprehensively considering not only review data left by current and former employees but also various internal and external evaluation indicators reflecting recruitment market trends. The evaluation process was conducted fairly based on this year’s awards theme keyword 'Sustainable Growth,' set by an advisory panel on HR and economic trends.
Selected companies are awarded the 'Planet Button' certification, which can be viewed on the JobPlanet website and mobile app. Additionally, companies are granted the right to use the Planet Button emblem for recruitment branding and will receive the JobPlanet Awards plaque, among other benefits.
There is also an event for job seekers. Participants who select companies they want to work for on the JobPlanet Awards event page and visit the pages of three or more awarded companies will be entered into a draw where 30 winners will receive 10,000 Naver Pay points.
A JobPlanet representative said, "Through this awards program, we aim to provide reliable career guidance to job seekers considering employment or job changes," adding, "We will continue to discover excellent companies based on objective data and in-depth evaluations."
Meanwhile, the number of good jobs preferred by young people is gradually decreasing. Due to increased internal and external uncertainties and prolonged economic downturn, six out of ten large companies surveyed this year have no plans or undecided plans for new hires. Major banks have also reduced or frozen new hiring in recent years as the number of branches decreases.
The Korea Economic Association (KEA) announced on the 27th that a survey of the top 500 companies by sales, conducted by Research & Research from the 4th to the 13th of this month, showed that among 126 responding companies, 61.1% had no plans or undecided plans for new hires in the first half of this year. Of these, 41.3% were undecided, and 19.8% had no plans at all. These figures increased by 3.9 percentage points and 2.7 percentage points, respectively, compared to the first half of last year. Among companies with hiring plans, 28.6% intended to reduce the scale compared to last year, which was more than the 12.2% planning to increase. Companies planning to maintain similar levels accounted for 59.2%.
