The Department of Physical Therapy at Honam University (headed by Professor Yoon Youngje) announced on the 28th that it has signed an MOU with the Gwangju Nam-gu Public Health Center to operate a rehabilitation program for home-based persons with disabilities.
Through this agreement, the two institutions have decided to jointly run the "Connecting Health: Taping Class" program to promote emotional stability and improve the quality of life for home-based persons with disabilities, based on a shared recognition of the importance of enhancing welfare for this group.
The Gwangju Nam-gu Public Health Center will be responsible for recruiting local participants, promoting the program, monitoring, building networks, and providing support, while the Department of Physical Therapy at Honam University will provide operational consulting, comprehensive education on rehabilitation taping, securing volunteer personnel, and safety training.
Professor Yoon Youngje, head of the Department of Physical Therapy at Honam University, stated, "Through this MOU, we will continue to expand talent-sharing volunteer activities linked to our major, establishing a cooperative system with the local community that aligns with the characteristics of our department."
