Newsweek, together with the global research firm Statista, selected the top 250 hospitals worldwide by compiling evaluations from medical experts in 30 countries and patient satisfaction, and published the rankings on its website on the 27th.

This year, the Mayo Clinic in the United States was chosen as the world's best hospital. Following were the Cleveland Clinic (USA), Toronto General Hospital (Canada), Johns Hopkins Hospital (USA), and Karolinska University Hospital (Sweden), ranked 2nd to 5th respectively. Among Asian hospitals, Singapore General Hospital ranked highest at 9th place.

A total of 16 Korean hospitals made it into the top 250. The highest-ranked was Seoul Asan Medical Center at 25th place. Although it dropped three places from last year's ranking (22nd), it has maintained the top position domestically for seven consecutive years since 2019. Following were Samsung Medical Center (30th), Seoul National University Hospital (42nd), Severance Hospital (46th), Bundang Seoul National University Hospital (68th), and Gangnam Severance Hospital (87th). A total of six Korean hospitals were included within the top 100.
