Outstanding Political Acumen and Contributions to Library Development
Jeon Gyeongseon, a member of the Jeonnam Provincial Council (Democratic Party of Korea, Mokpo 5), was honored with the Special Award from the President of the Korean Library Association on the 27th.

The Special Award from the President of the Korean Library Association is one of the most prestigious awards in the Korean library field, given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the development of libraries.
As the Vice Chair of the 12th Jeonnam Provincial Council, Jeon played a leading role by making policy efforts for the development of libraries in the Jeonnam region. In particular, he is recognized for greatly contributing to the qualitative growth of libraries in Jeonnam and the improvement of convenience for local residents.
Jeon stated, "I am truly delighted to receive the honorable Special Award from the President of the Korean Library Association," and added, "I express my deep gratitude. This award is not the result of individual effort, but the fruit of the love and interest of the residents for libraries, as well as the dedicated hard work of my fellow council members and related public officials of Jeonnam Province."
He continued, "I will once again remind myself of the responsibility of a local politician who contributes to the development of the community," and emphasized, "I will do my utmost to ensure that libraries can serve as central spaces for sharing and communicating knowledge and information, and as core spaces that enhance the quality of life for local residents."
