"Runway Operating Normally"
Korea Airports Corporation stated on the afternoon of the 27th that "there is no disruption to flight operations" regarding the fire that occurred on the outskirts of Gimpo International Airport.
The fire broke out around 2:47 PM that day in a field on the outskirts of the airport and has since been reported as extinguished.
A corporation official said, "It was not a large fire," adding, "There is still some smoke, but the runway is operating normally."
