Kiwoom Securities announced on the 27th that it has launched the 'Shareholder Benefits' service on Hero Moon S#.
The Shareholder Benefits service offers shareholders holding stocks of each company discounts on the company's products. It is provided in partnership with IRQduss, an IR agency specializing in corporate presentations (IR).
Services that provide practical benefits to shareholders are a concept widely used in countries like Japan and the United States to strengthen the bond between investors and companies and encourage long-term investment.
A representative example is the US major movie theater chain AMC providing popcorn to shareholders, or Tokyo Disneyland giving Disneyland tickets to shareholders in Japan.
By subscribing to the 'Shareholder Benefits' service under the 'Lifestyle/Benefits' menu on Hero Moon S#, users can receive coupons from about 10 domestic companies including Fila Holdings and Ottogi, which can be used at online malls and other places. Notably, Kiwoom Securities' 'Shareholder Benefits' service significantly enhances accessibility and convenience by allowing users to receive coupons using account information from other securities firms via MyData, even if they do not hold stocks in their Kiwoom Securities account.
A Kiwoom Securities representative stated, "In addition to Shareholder Benefits, we provide various lifestyle/benefit services such as Reportoon, fortune-telling, and points for customers using Hero Moon, and we plan to further strengthen services that customers can enjoy alongside their investment activities."
