Hwaseong City and Dongtan Kyunghee Korean Medicine Clinic Sign 'Our Neighborhood Korean Medicine Primary Care Physician' Agreement

Providing Health and Medical Services Through Home Visits by Korean Medicine Doctors and Visiting Nurses

On the 26th, Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province signed a business agreement with Dongtan Kyunghee Korean Medicine Clinic at Hwaseong City Eastern Public Health Center for the 'Our Neighborhood Korean Medicine Primary Care Physician Project.'


'Our Neighborhood Korean Medicine Primary Care Physician' is a program in which public health centers and medical institutions cooperate to provide health and medical services to vulnerable groups in medical blind spots. It is a pledge project of Hwaseong City under the 8th popular election administration.

According to the agreement, Korean medicine doctors from Dongtan Kyunghee Korean Medicine Clinic and visiting nurses from the public health center will form a team to visit the target individuals directly and provide customized visiting medical services such as ▲ Korean medicine treatment ▲ acupuncture ▲ basic tests including blood pressure and blood sugar measurement ▲ health counseling. The project targets citizens residing in the eastern region of Hwaseong City who have difficulty visiting medical institutions due to mobility issues.


This year, the related project of Hwaseong City Eastern Public Health Center is scheduled to be conducted in three sessions from next month to November at senior centers within the region.


Shim Jeong-sik, director of Hwaseong City Eastern Public Health Center, said, "Through this project, we will take a step closer to residents who have difficulty accessing medical care and support a healthy life."
