Digital signage specialist Vect announced on the 27th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for business cooperation with AI deep-tech startup Ainut.
The signing ceremony took place on the 26th at Vect's headquarters in Yeoksam-dong, Seoul. Attendees included Vect CEO Yoo Chang-soo, Ainut CEOs Park Sang-hyun and Cho Min-taek, and other officials.
Through this agreement, both companies plan to develop next-generation smart signage by integrating AI and interactive technologies into existing digital signage solutions. Key areas of collaboration include △ AI-based interactive electronic whiteboards and smart classroom content △ real-time AI interpretation and automatic summarization △ AI-customized advertising and data analysis-based digital content △ AI interactive content and immersive media art.
Vect is a one-stop total visual solution company for digital signage. It manufactures and distributes hardware such as light-emitting diode (LED) electronic displays, laser projectors, electronic whiteboards, and electronic podiums. By adding spatial planning capabilities, it covers all areas of digital signage including exhibitions, performances, outdoor advertising, and media art.
Ainut is a deep-tech startup that provides optimized AI learning models through data upcycling technology. It possesses technologies in data preprocessing, AI-based speech recognition, natural language processing (NLP), real-time translation, and interactive content.
A Vect representative said, “This agreement is the first step in combining digital signage and AI,” adding, “We plan to offer customer-tailored smart signage solutions by leveraging Vect’s digital signage technology and Ainut’s AI technology.”
They continued, “By utilizing mixed reality (MR) and immersive technologies, we will become a leader not only in digital signage but also in the smart signage business.”
