Shinhan Bank announced on the 27th that it won the Grand Prize in the Investor Protection category at the '2025 Korea Fund Awards.'

The Korea Fund Awards, organized annually by the fund rating agency KG Zeroin, comprehensively evaluate fund distributors such as banks and securities firms to select outstanding financial companies. The Grand Prize for Investor Protection is awarded by the Korea Financial Consumer Protection Foundation to excellent financial companies that comply with regulations related to fund sales procedures.
Shinhan Bank achieved first place overall in the branch (offline) and online (website and mobile) sales procedure evaluations, which were conducted for the first time last year, earning the Grand Prize. In particular, it was recognized for excellent performance in all evaluation areas, including understanding financial consumers, suitable funds, and protection of financial consumer rights, achieving the only A+ grade among banks.
A Shinhan Bank official said, "We are pleased to be recognized as a financial institution that protects consumer rights through efforts to safeguard financial consumers," adding, "We will continue various activities to strengthen competency training and customer-centered sales management systems to establish a culture of complete sales."
Meanwhile, Shinhan Bank is expanding its services by implementing an internal control compliance culture program for financial consumer protection, introducing 'Jikyeoyo,' the nation's first integrated platform for financial fraud prevention, and establishing an AI-based financial fraud detection system.
