Suwon City in Gyeonggi Province has been selected as an excellent institution for seven consecutive years in the ‘Local Government Innovation Evaluation’ conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety previously conducted the ‘2024 Local Government Innovation Evaluation’ targeting 243 metropolitan and basic local governments nationwide, selecting outstanding local governments that actively promoted regional innovation policies.
Suwon City received mostly excellent evaluations in this assessment. In particular, it achieved remarkable results in ▲innovation leadership of the head of the institution ▲participation and internalization of innovation activities ▲data and AI-based scientific administration ▲resident-centered livelihood tasks ▲and public perception.
A Suwon City official stated, "Being selected as an excellent institution for seven consecutive years in the local government innovation evaluation is the result of consistently promoting citizen-centered innovation in all areas of administration," adding, "We will continue to discover various innovative policies and create innovation outcomes that citizens can feel."
