The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education has created and distributed an educational guideline for teachers and students to ensure the proper use and safe application of generative artificial intelligence (AI).
The Office of Education announced on the 27th that, in response to the rapid development of generative AI, it recognized the need for school members to have a critical understanding and proactive response capabilities, which led to the development of this guideline.
The guideline was created based on surveys of students and parents' awareness, as well as domestic and international cases and legislation. The version for teachers is case-centered to support classes, while the version for students is designed to be easily implemented according to elementary and secondary learning stages.

The main contents include ▲ preparation for generative AI utilization education ▲ safe usage ▲ classroom application ▲ personal information and security ▲ ethical use, among others. It also contains precautions related to recent personal information leaks.
This guideline is provided in e-book format and can be downloaded by anyone from the integrated resources section of the Office of Education’s website.
An official from the Office of Education stated, "Considering the rapid advancement of generative AI technology, we plan to continuously update the latest materials of the educational guideline and widely distribute related educational resources."
