Grand Prize in the Festival Global Premium Category
On the 25th, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 26th that it received the Grand Prize in the Festival Global Premium category at the '2025 Korea Festival Content Awards' ceremony held at the Peace & Park Convention in Seoul.

Hosted by the Korea Festival Content Association, this award is given to local festivals selected by a panel of experts in the festival field based on high visitor recognition and satisfaction, as well as contributions to regional economic development and tourism revitalization.
Icheon City received high praise for its program development centered on Icheon rice, the creation of spaces that combine various experiences, and the enhancement of convenience facilities for visitors. The city explained that the eradication of overcharging and the support of visitors were key factors in winning the grand prize.
Kim Kyung-hee, Mayor of Icheon, expressed, "We will continue to strive to make the Icheon Rice Culture Festival a representative agricultural culture festival that contributes to regional coexistence and economic revitalization."
Marking its 24th year, the Icheon Rice Culture Festival will be held for five days from October 22 to 26 at the Icheon Agricultural Theme Park.
