The 'Running People's Petition Office' is a system where a consultation team composed of investigators from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission and experts from cooperating organizations consults residents' complaints on-site and seeks solutions.
On this day, about 100 cases received both in advance and on-site were consulted regarding the difficulties and grievances of Pohang citizens. Issues such as ▲industry, agriculture, and environment ▲finance and taxation ▲traffic and roads ▲various daily inconveniences were promptly addressed by specialized investigators and Pohang city officials deployed on-site, enhancing citizen satisfaction.
The city plans to continuously expand this communication platform, using the 'Running Petition Office' as an opportunity to listen to and resolve local residents' voices quickly, leading efforts to realize citizen-centered administration.
Mayor Lee Kang-deok said, "This event provided a great opportunity to directly hear citizens' opinions and reflect them in policies," adding, "We will continue to prioritize communication with citizens and devote ourselves to making Pohang a better place to live."
