Birth of Gokseong-gun's First "Grade 3 Deputy Governor"
Jeong Changmo, the Deputy Governor of Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, was promoted to Local Deputy Director-General (Grade 3) as of the 26th.
This promotion follows the amendment of the Local Autonomy Act Enforcement Decree, which raises the position of deputy heads of cities, counties, and autonomous districts with populations under 50,000 from Local Director to Local Deputy Director-General, in order to strengthen the autonomous organizational authority of local governments. As a result, Gokseong-gun has its first-ever "Grade 3 Deputy Governor."
Deputy Governor Jeong began his public service career in 1992 and has served in various departments at Jeollanam-do, including the General Affairs Division, Spokesperson's Office, and Job Policy Division. He was promoted to Local Director in 2020, served as Head of the Culture and Arts Division and as General Affairs Officer at the Council Secretariat, and was appointed as Deputy Governor of Gokseong-gun on January 2 of this year.
Deputy Governor Jeong stated, "I will actively respond to the increasing administrative demands and tasks and pursue field-oriented administration," adding, "I will do my best with a sense of responsibility for the development of the local community."
