Jeollanam-do will conduct the "2025 Spring Season Mobile Agricultural Machinery Repair Service" until March 21.

To provide convenience for farmers by minimizing machinery breakdowns through pre-inspection and maintenance before the main farming season, the mobile repair service will be carried out sequentially in 15 cities and counties, including Yeosu and Suncheon.

The agricultural machinery covered by the 2025 spring mobile repair service includes a variety of equipment such as tractors, rice transplanters, cultivators, and rotary tillers.

Six experts from four participating companies?Daedong Co., Ltd., TYM Co., Ltd., LS Mtron Co., Ltd., and Asia Tech Co., Ltd.?will form the repair service team. According to the schedule, they will coordinate with local agricultural machinery dealerships and visit villages to provide the service.

For machinery that cannot be repaired on-site, arrangements will be made to transport it to nearby maintenance factories or manufacturers to minimize inconvenience for farmers.

Farmers are only required to pay the actual cost of major parts and transportation incurred during the mobile repair service, while labor is free of charge. Some minor maintenance, such as oil or filter replacement, will also be provided free of charge.

Yu Deokgyu, Director of the Food and Horticulture Division of Jeollanam-do, said, "We will support farmers so they can focus on farming without inconvenience through pre-maintenance of agricultural machinery," and added, "Since we will also provide emergency repair tips for simple breakdowns, we hope many farmers will actively participate."

Meanwhile, as of the end of 2023, the total number of major agricultural machines in the Jeollanam-do region was about 275,000 units, including approximately 44,000 tractors, 50,000 cultivators, and 79,000 rotary tillers by type.
