Proper Use of the Internet and Smartphones,
Personal Information Protection, and Digital Crime Prevention Methods
Namak Youth Culture Center in Muan-gun, Jeollanam-do recently announced on the 26th that it held a "Digital Sexual Crime Prevention Education" program for elementary school students in grades 4 to 6 through its After-School Academy during the winter vacation.
This educational program was organized in collaboration with the Mokpo Women’s Counseling Center, an affiliate of the Happy Nuri Association, to help ensure that youth can live safely in the digital environment.

The curriculum included proper use of the internet and smartphones, personal information protection, and methods to prevent digital crimes, aiming to help students develop the capacity to protect themselves.
A student who participated in the program said, "I usually watch videos or play games on my phone without much thought, but through this education, I realized how scary and serious digital sexual crimes can be."
Oh Sunhee, Head of Resident Life Division, stated, "As the digital environment develops, sexual crimes targeting children and adolescents are increasing. I hope this education helped students recognize the dangers of digital sexual crimes and develop their self-protection abilities."
