Contribution to the U-League Championship Victory
Dong-A University Sports Hall of Fame
Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) announced on the 26th that Lee Jae-heon, the head coach of the university's baseball team, received the Best Coach Award at the Korea University Sports Federation (KUSF) Awards.
Coach Lee Jae-heon was awarded the Best Coach Award for the U-League at the 'Korea University Sports Federation (KUSF) Awards and University Sports Legacy Ceremony' held on the 22nd at CGV Cheongdam Cine City in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. He was selected as the recipient in recognition of leading the championship victory at the '2024 KUSF University Baseball U-League' final tournament last September.
Coach Lee said, "I received this award because of the coaching staff and players who trained hard and followed well," and added, "I am also grateful to President Lee Hae-woo, Sports Director Woo Jin-hee, and other university officials who have supported and helped the baseball team in every way."
At this ceremony, Dong-A University was selected for the 'University Sports Legacy' as a 'Sports Hall of Fame' and received a bronze plaque.
The Korea University Sports Federation conducted this awards ceremony as part of a nationwide project to discover and promote tangible and intangible heritage related to university sports, aiming to create value for university sports through the University Sports Legacy discovery project.
Opened in 2017, the Dong-A University Sports Hall of Fame is located in the lobby of the gymnasium on the 7th floor of the College of Arts and Physical Education. It features handprints and nameplates of sports stars who have made their names known at international competitions such as the Olympics, World Championships, and Asian Games, as well as a timeline summarizing the history of Dong-A University athletics.
