Yeongam County Holds Ad Hoc Meeting of Youth Development Committee... "Reflecting in County Administration"

53 Projects Including Jobs, Housing, and Education
A Total Investment of 13.42 Billion KRW Planned for This Year

Yeongam County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Woo Seunghee) held an ad-hoc meeting of the Youth Development Committee on the 24th to incorporate young people's opinions into county administration.


According to the county on the 26th, the meeting included a report on the 2024 youth performance evaluation and a review of the 2025 youth policy implementation plan.

This year, under the vision of "Growth of Youth, Growth of Yeongam," the county will invest a total of 13.42 billion KRW in 53 projects across nine sectors, including jobs, housing, and education.


During the meeting, committee members reviewed new initiatives for this year such as ▲support for youth certification exam fees ▲youth participation point support ▲youth psychological counseling service support.


Additionally, the committee emphasized that ongoing projects from last year, such as "Youth Culture Street Development," "Yeongam-style Public Housing Support," and "Local Pick Youth Startups," should be further improved this year to serve as the foundation for Yeongam-style youth culture.


Kim Sunmi, Director of Population and Youth Affairs, said, "Based on the committee's discussions, we will develop policies that carefully reflect the needs and demands of young people, enabling youth to grow and the region to prosper."
