Aiming to Attract 10 Million Visitors
Asan City in South Chungcheong Province announced that it held a working-level task force meeting for the '2025-2026 Visit Asan Years' on the 25th.
The task force consists of 19 members, including Acting Mayor Jo Ilgyo and Director of Culture and Welfare Kim Manseop.
The meeting was conducted in the order of a general overview of the operational plan, departmental progress reports, and a discussion session.
The task force plans to strengthen its cooperation system by checking and sharing quarterly progress based on five key strategies: management and revitalization of major tourist attractions, development of new tourism infrastructure, enhancement of visitor reception readiness, operation of diverse festivals and events, and strengthening of promotional activities.
Acting Mayor Jo Ilgyo stated, "Welcoming visitors is only complete when citizens participate and cooperate," and requested, "Centering on the task force, please lead cooperation with the private sector so that the entire city of Asan is prepared to welcome visitors."
