Plans to Foster Creative Global Talents with Advanced Software Tools

The College of Engineering at Pukyong National University (Dean Youngjin Kim) received support for Siemens Digital Industry Software's Xcelerator solutions through the Academic Partner Program of Siemens, a global technology company focusing its capabilities on industry and infrastructure, mobility, and healthcare by combining the real and digital worlds.


The software supported this time includes NX CAD/CAM/CAE for 3D design/manufacturing/analysis, Simcenter Amesim, an integrated mechatronics system simulation platform, Simcenter 3D, an integrated CAE solution capable of performing multiphysics analysis within a single environment, Simcenter STAR-CCM+, a CFD-based multiphysics computational fluid dynamics solution, Teamcenter, an engineering collaboration solution, Tecnomatix, a manufacturing engineering solution, HEEDS, a design space exploration and optimization solution linked with various simulation software, and Siemens Xcelerator Academy for online training on Siemens software tools.


The College of Engineering at Pukyong National University plans to introduce the Siemens Xcelerator software solutions supported for undergraduate and graduate curricula and research activities to promote the issuance of Siemens digital badges, Siemens certificates, and participation in the student ambassador program among enrolled students.


Through this, they stated that they will continuously strive to cultivate specialized knowledge and software capabilities required for engineers in the relevant fields, and that students at the College of Engineering at Pukyong National University will have the opportunity to grow into creative global core talents capable of responding to the rapidly changing industrial environment.
