Recently, a Chinese TikToker sparked controversy by filming a video in Gwangju imitating former President Chun Doohwan. Professor Seo Kyungduk of Sungshin Women's University strongly criticized this act, stating, "It is an act of mocking the citizens of Gwangju and is incomprehensible."

On the 25th, Professor Seo criticized the incident on social media, pointing out that "it was an act of ridiculing the citizens of Gwangju." In the video, the man, dressed in a jumper and military boots, swung a red stick in front of the National Gwangju Museum, imitating former President Chun Doohwan.

Professor Seo strongly condemned the act, saying, "I cannot understand the intention to trivialize another country's historical pain." He also recalled an incident on the 11th, when Chinese football fans held up photos of Chun Doohwan and Kim Jongun during a match against Gwangju FC, and emphasized, "China must remember that such actions are isolating the country."

At the time, Gwangju FC described the incident as "an act of mocking the entire city of Gwangju and the Republic of Korea," and officially requested an investigation. Shandong Taishan Club issued an apology statement three days later.
