Donation Campaign Promoted Through the Webtoon "Haengbokdong 27beonji" Based on Experiences of Youth Preparing for Independence

About 10,000 People Participate in Donations for Youth Preparing for Independence

KakaoBank announced on the 24th that it will conduct a donation campaign using the webtoon "Haengbokdong 27beonji" as part of its social contribution project "Everyone's Independence" for youth preparing for independence.

The "Haengbokdong 27beonji" webtoon project was planned to promote and encourage participation in the donation campaign for youth preparing for independence, which has been ongoing since December last year on Kakao's social contribution platform "Kakao Together Value" (Kakao Gatigachi).

"Haengbokdong 27beonji," a webtoon created by KakaoBank in collaboration with artist Won Dong-min for youth preparing for independence, consists of a total of 8 episodes. It includes various support programs such as local independence support agencies, independence allowances, and Didim Seed Accounts that youth preparing for independence should know about, allowing youth preparing for independence and foster children to learn naturally.

As of the 24th, more than 10,000 people have participated in the donation campaign. Participants left comments under the webtoon such as "Supporting all youth preparing for independence" and "Learning about youth preparing for independence through the webtoon," showing high interest. As a result, the donation goal of 10 million KRW was achieved, and the final collected amount will be used to support education and living expenses such as certification acquisition for youth preparing for independence.

KakaoBank stated, "We prepared this webtoon project to help youth preparing for independence achieve stable independence," adding, "We hope this opportunity will encourage many people to take an interest in supporting youth preparing for independence, and KakaoBank will continue various support projects for youth preparing for independence."

"Everyone's Independence" is a practical education project planned by KakaoBank together with the Children and Future Foundation to strengthen financial knowledge for youth preparing for independence. Since 2022, KakaoBank has donated a cumulative total of 280 million KRW over three years for financial education, financial consulting, and support payments targeting youth preparing for independence.
