DL E&C Selected as Construction Contractor for Yeonhui 2 District Public Redevelopment... First Urban Maintenance Order This Year

DL E&C announced on the 24th that it has been finally selected as the construction company for the Yeonhui 2 District Public Redevelopment Project in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. This is DL E&C's first urban renewal project order of the year. The project involves constructing a total of 1,090 apartment units and ancillary welfare facilities. The construction cost is approximately 399.3 billion KRW.

Yeonhui 2 District boasts a pleasant residential environment due to its proximity to Hongjecheon Stream and Ansan Mountain. It is well-connected with various transportation networks, including the Internal Circulation Road, the planned Western Line light rail, and Hongdae Entrance Station. Additionally, it offers abundant living infrastructure such as Sinchon Hyundai Department Store, AK Plaza Hongdae, and the Yeonnam-dong commercial area. The area also has excellent educational conditions with schools like Hongyeon Elementary, Yeonhui Elementary, Myongji High School, and Yonsei University.

DL E&C proposed the complex name as ‘e-Pyunhansesang Yeonhui,’ aiming to create a high-quality landmark reflecting the historical value of Yeonhuigung Palace. The design features a classic facade and vertical patterns that break away from conventional apartment designs, presenting a unique exterior. The project will also introduce the specialized landscaping brand ‘dePOEM Garden’ and provide various community facilities, including an 81.3% four-BAY layout. DL E&C plans to apply its proprietary technologies such as noise reduction systems and smart construction methods to offer residents the highest quality of living.

A DL E&C representative stated, “Starting with the Yeonhui 2 District public redevelopment, we will actively pursue orders in major urban renewal sites such as Hannam 5 District,” signaling an expansion in urban renewal projects this year.
