Lotte Rental announced on the 24th that it will be the first in the industry to offer driver insurance to individual long-term rental car users.
As a 'My car (Maika)' membership benefit, Lotte Rent-a-Car will provide Carrot General Insurance driver insurance free of charge for up to one year during the contract period. When using new or used cars as long-term rental cars from Lotte Rent-a-Car, users can apply for the Carrot driver insurance benefit through the Maika membership. Coverage includes up to 30 million KRW per category for accidents while driving, walking, and riding.
Lotte Rent-a-Car operates the membership-exclusive platform 'Maika Membership' for individual and sole proprietor long-term rental car users. Maika Membership offers basic vehicle-related information support such as ▲contract management ▲vehicle condition checks ▲on-site maintenance requests, as well as convenience services linked to mobility like refueling, EV charging, and car washing. Additionally, it strengthens differentiated benefits with lifestyle-oriented partnership services including home shopping, hotels, resorts, and golf.
A Lotte Rental official stated, "To practice customer-centered management (CCM), which was certified last year, we introduced the driver insurance benefit for the first time in the industry," adding, "By enhancing membership benefits that support customers' driving and daily lives beyond rental car services, we plan to support customers' comfortable car life."
