15 Experts Appointed Across 5 Divisions
Two-Year Term to Seek Advancement in University Research

Pusan National University (President Choi Jae-won) held an appointment ceremony on the 18th at the campus Mechanical Engineering Building for the 15 members of the 3rd term Yoon In-gu Academic Committee, an expert advisory group in the university's research fields.

The 'Yoon In-gu Academic Committee' is an internal system introduced by Pusan National University in 2020, named after the inaugural president Yoon In-gu, to establish a research foundation and promote academic research. The committee has been engaged in activities to explore ways to advance university research toward becoming a world-class research-oriented university through △enhancing academic status △suggesting mid- to long-term research directions △providing policy advice in research fields.

The newly appointed 3rd term Yoon In-gu Academic Committee consists of a total of 15 professors from five divisions: Humanities & Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Engineering, Medicine & Pharmacy, and Arts & Physical Education. They will serve a two-year term from March this year to February 2027.

By division, the appointees are: △Humanities & Social Sciences - Professors Park So-young (Department of Korean Language and Literature), Seo Jae-kwon (Department of Political Science and Diplomacy), Kim Ki-seung (Department of Economics), Song Tae-ho (Department of Business Administration); △Natural Sciences - Professors Kim Hyun-min (Department of Mathematics), Lim Man-ho (Department of Chemistry), Kang Hye-sung (Department of Earth Science Education), Hwang Dae-yeon (Department of Biomaterials Science); △Engineering - Professors Jeong Jae-jun (Department of Mechanical Engineering), Lee Moon-seok (Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering), Oh Jung-eun (Department of Social and Environmental Systems Engineering), Hwang Yoon-hoe (Department of Nano Energy Engineering); △Medicine & Pharmacy - Professors Kim Jae-ho, Oh Se-ok (both from Department of Convergence Medical Science); △Arts & Physical Education - Professor Seo Dae-jung (Department of Arts, Culture and Film Studies) were appointed as Yoon In-gu Academic Committee members on this day.

Choi Jae-won, President of Pusan National University, said, “We expect that the diverse activities of the 3rd term Yoon In-gu Academic Committee will serve as an opportunity to expand the foundation of our university’s creative research environment and elevate Pusan National University’s academic level to a higher stage.”
