Geochang-gun Holds 1st Quarter Industrial Safety and Health Committee Meeting

Discussion for Communication Between Employers and Workers
and Creating a Safe Workplace

Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 24th that it held the 2025 1st quarter Industrial Safety and Health Committee regular meeting at the Deputy Governor's Office of the county office.

The Geochang-gun Industrial Safety and Health Committee, established under Article 24 of the 「Industrial Safety and Health Act」, plays a role in deliberating and deciding on safety and health-related matters at Geochang-gun workplaces by fostering cooperation and communication between employers and workers to create a safe working environment.

Geochang-gun is conducting the Industrial Safety and Health Committee for the first quarter of 2025.

At the meeting, time was spent listening to and discussing workers' opinions on major issues in the field of industrial safety and health, including ▲ the 2025 Geochang-gun Industrial Safety and Health Management Promotion Plan ▲ investigation and follow-up management of musculoskeletal disorders and job stress in Geochang-gun ▲ 2024 industrial accident occurrence statistics and follow-up management ▲ management measures based on the results of the second half of 2024 work environment measurements.

In addition, spring and thaw season worker safety accident prevention guidelines were distributed to prepare for industrial accidents at workplaces during the spring season.

Deputy Governor Lee Byung-cheol said, “The most effective way to prevent industrial accidents is proactive prevention activities,” adding, “We will strive to establish a culture of industrial accident prevention among all workers at workplaces in Geochang-gun, and we hope workers will also participate.”
