Digital Transformation Voucher Support up to 100 Million KRW for Tourism SMEs Open for Applications

Selection of About 160 Companies
Applications Open Until March 14

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 24th that, together with the Korea Tourism Organization, it will open a call for about 160 companies to participate in the '2025 Tourism Enterprise Innovation Voucher Support Project' until March 14.

The 'Tourism Enterprise Innovation Voucher Support Project' is a program that provides vouchers to cover the costs of tasks required by tourism enterprises for digital innovation. It plans to select a record number of about 160 companies across three types: Small Voucher (20 million KRW · 90 companies), Medium Voucher (50 million KRW · 52 companies), and Innovation Voucher Plus (100 million KRW · 20 companies).

Applicant companies can choose tasks in five areas: app/web development and advancement, introduction of information and communication technology (ICT) solutions, adoption of new technology-based solutions (robots, artificial intelligence, big data, extended reality (XR), Internet of Things (IoT), etc.), digital transformation consulting, and digital marketing. However, if selecting the digital marketing field, support is only available under the Small Voucher.

The newly established 'Innovation Voucher Plus' this year is a special program that provides customized support for the digital transformation of tourism SMEs. Unlike the existing Small and Medium Vouchers, which support designated tasks requested by beneficiary companies, this program offers close support throughout the entire process?including task design based on digital transformation level diagnosis, provider selection, task execution, and deliverable inspection and evaluation?through ongoing mentoring by a professional advisory group. The service robot field, which was first supported last year, will also prioritize selecting 10 companies. It aims to help alleviate labor shortages in tourism enterprises by supporting the replacement of simple tasks such as item delivery at hotels and campsites with robots.

Companies that qualify as SMEs under the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises and are operating or planning to operate in the tourism sector can apply for this call. Companies wishing to participate should submit their documents online through the official Innovation Voucher project website by March 14. The final selection results will be announced in early April. Selected companies can receive up to 100 million KRW worth of digital transformation activities over approximately seven months until October this year, along with customized support through one-on-one consultations with the 'Innovation Voucher Mentoring Team.'

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will hold briefing sessions nationwide on this project, starting in Jeju (February 24), followed by Busan (February 26), Gwangju (February 27), and Seoul (February 28). Detailed information about this call and the briefing sessions can be found on the official Innovation Voucher project website or the Korea Tourism Industry Portal TourRaz.
