On the 23rd, at the Siam Country Club Pattaya Old Course (Par 72, 6632 yards) in Chonburi, Thailand, Kim shot a 4-under 68 in the final round of the LPGA Tour’s ‘Asian Swing’ Honda LPGA Thailand (total prize money $1.7 million), finishing 6th at 17-under 271. Starting from 5th place, she recorded five birdies and one bogey. This marks another top 10 finish following her victory at the season opener, the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, on the 2nd.
Angel Yin (USA) secured a one-stroke victory (28-under 260) by shooting 7-under, defending her title. This is her second career win, coming 1 year and 4 months after the Buick LPGA Shanghai in October 2023. The winner’s prize money was $255,000 (approximately 370 million KRW). Rookie Iwai Akie (Japan) fired an 11-under 61 but settled for 2nd place (27-under 261). Jinno Titikun finished 3rd (21-under 267), while Patty Tavatanakit and Moriya Jutanugarn (both from Thailand) tied for 4th (19-under 269) to close the tournament.
From Korea, Yang Heeyoung, a three-time winner of this tournament, tied for 11th place (14-under 274). Yoo Haeran tied for 14th (13-under 275), Lim Jinhee tied for 20th (11-under 277), Choi Hyejin tied for 26th (9-under 279), An Narin tied for 33rd (6-under 282), and Lee Somi tied for 41st (5-under 283). Ko Jinyoung, Kim Hyoju, and Lee Miyang tied for 45th (3-under 285).
