The event was attended by about 100 people, including the Gyeongbuk Dokdo Foundation, Ulleung-gun, the Ulleung-gun Council, heads of institutions and organizations within Ulleungdo, and residents. Filling the multipurpose hall of Hanmaeum Hall, they united in strong condemnation of Japan's groundless slanders and repeated false claims.

Through this resolution rally, they demanded the withdrawal of Shimane Prefecture's ordinance establishing 'Takeshima (Jukdo) Day,' the immediate cessation of Japan's historical distortion and outrageous remarks, including the depiction of Dokdo as Japan's inherent territory in Japanese elementary, middle, and high school textbooks and teaching guideline commentaries, and strongly urged moving toward a friendly era of Korea-Japan regional exchange and cooperation.

Jeong Seok-du, chairman of the Blue Ulleung Dokdo Preservation Association, stated, “Dokdo-related organizations such as the Dokdo Foundation plan to continue active Dokdo guardian activities against Japan's ambitions to seize Dokdo, including the current Dokdo habitation island project, Dokdo ecosystem preservation and management, Dokdo afforestation and livestock farming projects, and the inheritance of the spirit of the Dokdo Volunteer Defense Corps.”

Nam Han-kwon, the county governor, said, “Shimane Prefecture unilaterally enacted and holds annual events for the so-called ‘Takeshima Day,’ even changing the name of Dokdo, which is clearly within Ulleung-gun’s administrative district. We strongly urge the immediate cessation of such events that undermine sound friendly relations between Korea and Japan and the abolition of the ordinance that unjustly claims territorial rights.”
