Shuttle Bus with Convenience Features Delivered
to Pohang City Disabled Welfare Center
On the 20th, Pohang City held a delivery ceremony for a shuttle bus equipped with a lift for the disabled at the parking lot of the Pohang City Disabled Welfare Center to secure mobility rights for the disabled and improve accessibility to the welfare center.

The city invested 300 million KRW in the Pohang City Disabled Welfare Center to support a shuttle bus equipped with the latest convenience features to help the disabled move safely and conveniently.
The delivery ceremony was attended by members of the Pohang City Council, officials and users of the Disabled Welfare Center, and representatives of Pohang City disabled organizations, celebrating the launch of the new shuttle bus.
The newly delivered shuttle bus is equipped with various convenience facilities considering the convenient and safe mobility rights of the disabled, such as a wheelchair lift, seats dedicated to the disabled, reinforced seat belts, and low-floor bus functions.
Accessibility to facilities has become easier for disabled people who have experienced inconvenience using regular vehicles, and it is expected to contribute to guaranteeing mobility rights for the disabled and improving their quality of life by supporting the use of this vehicle during various events and social activities of local disabled people.
Director Pyeon Jun of the Welfare Bureau said, “The shuttle bus will play an important role in helping the disabled move conveniently,” adding, “We will do our best to create a happy city of Pohang where everyone can live without discrimination so that disabled people can lead more comfortable and dignified lives.”
