At Busan Gijang World Cup Village on the 25th
An event honoring the national football legend the late Jeong Yonghwan will be held.
The 9th Jeong Yonghwan Youth Football Tournament and Scholarship Award Ceremony will take place on the 25th at Busan Gijang World Cup Village.
Hosted by the Jeong Yonghwan Youth Football Scholarship Foundation, the event will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., featuring a football tournament, scholarship awards, and a Chinese cuisine luncheon, all themed around 'Jeong Yonghwan.' The opening ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on the same day.
The event is sponsored by Gijang County, Busan Football Association, Busan IPark Professional Football Club, BNK Busan Bank, Korea Asset Management Corporation, Kookje Newspaper, Busan Chinese Cuisine Volunteer Association, and Plus I&C.
Scholarship Foundation Chairman Song Chunyeol said, “We aim to continue the dream of the late Jeong Yonghwan, who devoted himself to nurturing young football talents, and to welcome everyone who loves football.”
