Gijang-gun Jeonggwan-eup Community Security Council Promotes 'Public-Private Joint Campaign to Identify Welfare Crisis Households'

The Jeonggwan-eup Administrative Welfare Center in Gijang-gun, Busan (Eupjang Song Young-jong) conducted a public-private joint campaign to identify welfare crisis households at Jeonggwan LH Complex 7 on the 18th.

The event was jointly organized by the Jeonggwan-eup Community Security Council, Gijang Disabled Welfare Center, and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Senior Volunteer Group, and was held in connection with the coffee sharing event of the Gijang Disabled Welfare Center, targeting about 180 local residents who participated.

Participants distributed flyers introducing the welfare crisis household identification and the Welfare Crisis Alert app, urging people to immediately report to the Jeonggwan-eup Administrative Welfare Center if they discover neighbors in need of help.

In addition, Jeonggwan-eup plans to support welfare crisis households reported by connecting them promptly with public assistance and private resources through counseling to help them overcome crisis situations quickly.

Choi Jin-ho, chairman of the Jeonggwan-eup Community Security Council, urged, "If there are neighbors in need of help around you, please actively report them."

Song Young-jong, head of Jeonggwan-eup, said, "I hope this campaign will serve as an opportunity to raise awareness about neighbors in difficulty around us who are in welfare blind spots."
