Gwangsan-gu Gwangju to Create New Place Names with Citizen Ideas Gwangsan District Office in Gwangju.

This project was established to organize place names that are used customarily but have not been officially registered, as well as to revise place names that do not fit the local identity, and to resolve confusion caused by the lack of standard place names or topographical names.

Until March 7, citizens can submit place names they wish to establish or change, along with the detailed address of the relevant area or facility, through the Gwangsan-gu official website.

Participation is also possible by visiting the real estate cadastral department, local administrative welfare centers, or by phone or text message.

After collecting citizen suggestions and ideas, the district will review the possibility of establishing new place names through expert consultations and by gathering opinions from residents.
