30 Courses Including Line Dance to Be Offered Until June
Namwon City in Jeollabuk-do will be recruiting students for the first half of the year lifelong education programs at the Lifelong Learning Center from the 24th to the 27th.
According to the city on the 21st, the program will begin on the 10th of next month and run until June. The city plans to recruit about 340 students for a total of 30 courses, including ▲Fashion & Sewing ▲Basic Computer Skills ▲Healthy Baking ▲Calligraphy ▲Line Dance, and more.
The regular programs at the Lifelong Learning Center are divided into the 'Ireon(learn) Jeoreon(learn)' programs, which are held inside the center, and the 'Everywhere Classroom,' which utilizes external educational venues. This year's courses will reflect the demand of citizens who wish to participate in lifelong education throughout the year, being offered as a 16-week course in the first half and a 12-week course in the second half.
Course registration is on a first-come, first-served basis through the Namwon City Integrated Reservation and Application System. Any adult can participate, but a class will only be opened if more than 50% of the participants are Namwon citizens.
Yang Hyosang, Director of the Education and Sports Department, said, "Universal lifelong education is now an essential value that can no longer be separated from the lives of citizens. We will continue to communicate with citizens and do our best in planning and operating programs so that the Lifelong Learning Center can fulfill its role as a hub for lifelong learning."
