Goheung County in Jeollanam-do (Governor: Gong Youngmin) announced on the 21st that the "Space Science Train," jointly operated by the county and KORAIL Tourism Development, continues to enjoy immense popularity this year.

During its nine runs last year, 400 tourists participated, with tickets selling out early every time. This year as well, seats were snapped up as soon as reservations opened, raising expectations even higher.

The Space Science Train offers a truly unique journey, combining the convenience of rail travel with the extraordinary experience of space exploration.

This is precisely why tourists from across the country, including the Seoul metropolitan area, are flocking to participate. This special journey, impossible to experience elsewhere, is filled with adventure and inspiration.

Goheung County and KORAIL Tourism Development are continuously collaborating to further develop this program. Based on a business agreement signed in February this year, they plan to enhance space experience content in connection with the Naro Space Center and offer delicious local cuisine made from regional specialties, providing tourists with an even richer experience.

This program, which combines space science and tourism, not only offers fun but also has significant educational value and is giving a boost to the local economy.

Through this agreement, Goheung County will provide an incentive of 50,000 won per participant, making it easier for more tourists to join without financial burden.

Meanwhile, KORAIL Tourism Development is in charge of recruiting participants and operating the program, actively promoting the convenience of rail travel. As a result, tourists can enjoy both a comfortable train journey and space-related experiences, leading to even higher satisfaction. The Space Science Train has established itself as the only space experience tourism product in Korea, continuing its remarkable record of selling out every session.

A county official stated, "The consistent popularity of the Space Science Train is a valuable achievement created by Goheung County's differentiated tourism policies and inter-agency collaboration," adding, "We will continue to provide high-quality tourism content so that Goheung can firmly establish itself as the center of space science tourism."

Goheung County plans to further expand space-related experience programs and introduce various support measures to make it easier for tourists to participate, offering them a unique travel experience.
