Hope Bridge to Support 2.6 Billion KRW for Recovery from Wildfire Damage in Gyeongbuk and Gangwon... Call for Project Organizations

The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (President Song Pil-ho) announced on the 21st that it will carry out a project worth a total of about 2.6 billion KRW to support the recovery of the Gyeongbuk and Gangwon regions affected by the large-scale wildfires that occurred in 2022, and is inviting organizations to undertake this project.


The purpose of this project is to solve community problems arising from the 2022 wildfires. The project areas include ▲wildfire prevention facilities and shelter construction ▲local economic revitalization ▲village tourism and psychological support ▲afforestation and ecosystem restoration. The project period is from June this year to June next year. The target areas are ▲Uljin-gun ▲Samcheok-si ▲Gangneung-si ▲Donghae-si. Applications can be submitted via Google Forms until the 27th of next month. Detailed information can be found on the Hope Bridge website.


Lee Ji-young, head of the relief project department at Hope Bridge, said, “We ask for the interest and support of capable organizations so that communities that lost their homes due to the wildfires can stand up again.”
