Three New Aircraft to Be Introduced This Year
Third Spare Engine to Be Secured Promptly
Air Premia announced on the 21st that it has purchased one additional 'Trent 1000 TEN' spare engine from Rolls-Royce in the UK to enhance flight safety. This is an additional safety measure amid global supply chain instability affecting the entire aviation industry.
Since 2019, Air Premia has established a maintenance system through an engine total care subscription service agreement with Rolls-Royce. By investing approximately 48 billion KRW to increase the number of new spare engines to two, the airline has implemented a dual safety measure to ensure operational stability.
Currently, Air Premia owns six aircraft and two spare engines, and plans to introduce three new aircraft within the year. Accordingly, it also plans to quickly secure a third spare engine.
An Air Premia representative stated, "At this time when the global supply chain has collapsed, the most reliable way to secure safety and punctuality is to directly own spare engines," adding, "We will do our best to enhance customer trust."
