Hana Securities forecasted on the 21st that YC Chem will turn profitable this year.
Kim Min-kyung, a researcher at Hana Securities, explained, "We estimate sales of 92.3 billion KRW and an operating profit of 1.4 billion KRW this year," adding, "Sales are expected to increase by 31% compared to last year, and operating profit will turn positive."
She continued, "Due to the NAND production cut trend by memory clients, losses are expected to continue until the first half of this year," and added, "In the second half of this year, material demand will increase as wafer input for DRAM and NAND rises."
Furthermore, she emphasized, "New items expected to contribute significantly to performance in the second half of this year include glass substrate photo materials, EUV lenses, cleaning equipment, and high-selectivity phosphate concentration measurement devices."
Researcher Kim also analyzed, "Last month, YC Chem issued convertible bonds (CB) worth 9 billion KRW for new product development and operating funds," and noted, "Since there is no refixing clause and a 100% call option condition is set, the possibility of corporate value deterioration due to future CB conversion is limited."
