"Warm Care That Empowers Everyone"
Building User-Centered, Customized Services
Yeongam County in Jeonnam Province (Governor Woo Seunghee) announced on the 20th that the YANA Project has been finally selected as the "2025 Public Service Design Support Project" by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The YANA Project, which stands for "Warm Care That Empowers Everyone," provides user-centered, customized care services in areas where care blind spots have emerged due to super-aging and the increase in single-person households.
This project brings together elderly people living alone, care professionals, public officials, and service designers to solve the problems of care recipients using design techniques. In particular, it strives to provide services tailored to participants' needs through in-depth interviews and on-site observations.
With this selection, the county will receive expert consulting and financial support from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. Utilizing this support, Yeongam plans to carry out public service design team activities, evaluate outstanding projects, and hold a performance sharing event from next month until August.
Kim Youngjung, Director of Planning and Budget, said, "We will successfully implement this project to minimize care blind spots and establish a culture where residents care for and live together within the community," adding, "Through public-private cooperation, we will build a more comprehensive care safety net."
