Sunchon National University Produces 90 Successful Secondary School Teacher Candidates This Year

"Systematic Support Centered on the College of Education Yields Results"

Suncheon National University (President Lee Byungwoon) announced on the 20th that a total of 90 candidates have successfully passed the 2025 nationwide metropolitan and provincial offices of education secondary school teacher recruitment examination.


The final number of successful candidates by training unit is as follows: ▲ College of Education 80 (Department of Korean Language Education 10, Department of English Education 12, Department of Social Studies Education 7, Department of Agricultural Education 12, Department of Mathematics Education 13, Department of Computer Education 12, Department of Environmental Education 3, Department of Physics Education 5, Department of Chemistry Education 6) ▲ General Colleges 5 (Department of Japanese Language and Culture 2, Department of Culinary Science 1, Department of Food and Nutrition 2) ▲ Graduate School of Education 5 (Major in Nutrition Education).

Kim Daehee, Dean of the College of Education, stated, "Suncheon National University is systematically supporting the enhancement of pre-service teachers' competencies and their preparation for the teacher recruitment examination, centered around the College of Education," and added, "We will continue to actively support the challenges of talented local students who dream of becoming teachers by operating various teacher training systems, including the College of Education, Graduate School of Education, and teacher certification programs, in a substantial and effective manner."


Meanwhile, Suncheon National University has consistently achieved strong results in the secondary school teacher recruitment examination, producing 58 successful candidates in 2023 and 68 in 2024.
