Recently, a series of burglaries targeting the homes of famous athletes have occurred in the United States. French soccer star Olivier Giroud (38) is reported to have suffered losses worth hundreds of thousands of dollars due to a thief breaking into his residence.
According to foreign media including the AP News on the 18th (local time), a thief recently broke into Giroud's home located in Los Angeles (LA), California. The LA police received a report that the upstairs bedroom window of the house was broken, and the thief entered through this window.
At the time of the incident, no one was home at Giroud's residence. After returning from an outing, his wife discovered the broken window and missing items, and then reported the incident to the police.
The American sports media outlet 'TMZ Sports' explained, "Giroud lost jewelry and luxury watches in this burglary," adding, "The damage amounts to $500,000 (approximately 720 million KRW)."
