The Gyeonggi-do Institute of Health and Environment recently published the ‘2024 Gyeonggi-do Institute of Health and Environment Report,’ which contains a total of 34 research achievements conducted last year to improve public health and the environment for the residents of the province.
This research report is composed of 16 papers in the health field (food and drugs, infectious diseases, agricultural and marine products) focusing on the daily lives of residents, including microbial contamination surveys, pesticide residue inspections of Gyeonggi-do agricultural products, and analysis of fine dust concentration and components in Gyeonggi-do, as well as 18 papers in the environmental field (air, water quality, soil, etc.).
The Institute of Health and Environment plans to post the research contents on its official website (gg.go.kr/gg_health) so that any resident can access them, and distribute them to related organizations to be used as basic data for health and environmental policy.
Bo-yeon Kwon, Director of the Gyeonggi-do Institute of Health and Environment, stated, "We expect the research report to serve as a guide for health and environmental policies in Korea and to provide valuable information for the healthy lives of the public."
