All 2024 Project Districts Completed
Land Disputes Resolved
Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, has successfully completed the 2024 Cadastral Resurvey Project (Baekjeon Gusan, Baekjeon Daebang, Baekjeon Sinchon, Byeonggok Mangwol District) in the shortest period within Gyeongnam Province.
The cadastral resurvey project is a national policy project temporarily implemented until 2030 to resolve land disputes caused by discrepancies between the actual status of land and cadastral maps and to enable efficient land management.
Once the cadastral resurvey project is implemented, cadastral surveying is prohibited, and the organization of cadastral records such as subdivision is also suspended, which restricts landowners' exercise of property rights.
To prevent delays in various permits and procedures caused by this, Hamyang-gun achieved the result of shortening the project period, which normally takes about 2 years and 6 months, to 1 year and 4 months.
After the project, the county plans to calculate adjustment payments based on appraisals for parcels with area increases or decreases and pay or collect these from landowners. Additionally, for this year's project districts (Baekjeon Sangjo, Baekjeon Hajo, Hyucheon Hannam, Jigok Sanggaepyeong District), approval for district designation will be obtained from Gyeongsangnam-do to accelerate the resolution of cadastral discrepancies.
A Hamyang-gun official said, “With the completion of the cadastral resurvey project, we have adjusted the boundaries of land that were inconsistent with the actual status to resolve disputes among landowners and protect the property rights of residents. We thank the landowners and stakeholders who cooperated to achieve the best results.”
