On Wednesday the 19th, the whole country will be mostly clear, with temperatures lower than usual, continuing the cold weather.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 18th, the lowest morning temperature on the 19th is forecast to be between -13 and -1 degrees Celsius, and the highest daytime temperature between 0 and 6 degrees Celsius.
In areas under cold wave warnings, including northern and eastern Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous Gangwon, Chungbuk, and northern inland and northeastern mountainous Gyeongbuk, morning temperatures will be around -10 degrees Celsius, with strong winds making it feel even colder.
In regions where snow has accumulated, snow that melted during the day will refreeze overnight in many places, so caution is advised for traffic safety.
While the country will be mostly clear, there will be occasional clouds in the Jeolla region and Jeju Island.
Until the morning, light snow less than 0.1 cm or raindrops less than 0.1 mm may fall in western Jeolla, mountainous areas of Jeju Island, and the western coast of Chungnam from dawn to morning. Ulleungdo and Dokdo are expected to receive 5 to 20 cm of snow or 5 to 20 mm of rain from the 18th to the 20th.
Fine dust levels will be at a 'good' level nationwide.
The air will be very dry mainly in inland Seoul and Gyeonggi, eastern coastal and mountainous Gangwon, Chungbuk, eastern southern coast of Jeonnam, and the Gyeongsang region.
On the western coast of Chungnam and the Jeolla coast, winds will be very strong with gusts exceeding 70 km/h until the morning. In most parts of the country, winds will be strong with gusts around 55 km/h (70 km/h in mountainous areas). Winds will also be very strong at sea, blowing at 30 to 70 km/h, causing very high waves.
Sea waves will range from 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the East Sea nearshore, 0.5 to 3.0 meters in the West Sea nearshore, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea nearshore. In the outer offshore areas (about 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are predicted to be 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, and 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the West and South Seas.
