On the 18th, Ulju-gun, Ulsan held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Open Exhibition Hall and Health Culture Center in the Eonyang-eup area of Ulju-gun.

The event was attended by about 100 people, including County Governor Lee Soon-geol, Vice Chairman of the County Council Jeong Woo-sik, city and county council members, heads of various organizations and groups, and local residents. The ceremony proceeded in the order of pre-event activities, progress report, commemorative speeches and congratulatory remarks, and groundbreaking.
This project is part of the Eonyang Urban Regeneration New Deal project, aimed at expanding historical and cultural content needed by local residents to strengthen regional identity and provide space for operating health promotion programs at the public health center so that residents can maintain a healthy life.
Ulju-gun invested a total project cost of 9.842 billion KRW, completed the design last year, started construction in January, and plans to complete it by June next year.
The Open Exhibition Hall and Health Culture Center will have a total floor area of 1,625.15㎡, with one basement floor and three above-ground floors. The main facilities include a resident rest area, health center, and exhibition space.
Governor Lee Soon-geol stated, “Once the Open Exhibition Hall and Health Culture Center are established, they are expected to serve as key facilities for preserving the history and culture of the Eonyang area and as a community-based health culture space dedicated to residents’ health and welfare.”
